  1. This is a runtime version of By Design, the new and revolutionary 
  2. Graphic Designer for WordPerfect. Feel free to distribute the
  3. program freely, but it must contain ALL the files !
  4.  
  5. All the *.txt files should be included on the distribution disk. A
  6. text file viewer (INFO.EXE) is included. You may add any
  7. descriptive files of your own.
  8.  
  9. IMPORTANT SPECIAL NOTE TO BBS USERS:
  10. ------------------------------------
  11. 1. Please do not zip all the files into a file called BYDESIGN.???
  12. as one of the component files is called BYDESIGN.ZIP and this will
  13. confuse the unzipping process. Try calling it BYDES or WPDESIGN or 
  14. DESIGNER.
  15. 2. Please make sure that ALL files are included. The file PKUNZIP
  16. must be included as it is required by the INSTALL routine.
  17. 3. If you have downloaded the program, you should have 18 files,
  18. including four zipped files and this README.BD file. Install from
  19. a floppy A or B drive.
  20. 4. Please note that we cannot offer tech support on BBS versions.

  27. BY DESIGN: ALTERNATIVE INSTALLATION ROUTINE

  30. To install By Design:
  31.  
  32. 1. Place the Program Disk in the A drive.
  33.  
  34. 2. Change to the WordPerfect directory on your hard drive. For
  35. example, if WordPerfect is installed in the WP51 directory on drive
  36. C you would type C:\WP51 [enter].
  37.  
  38. 3. Type A:BDINST
  39.  
  40. 4. Follow the prompts and change disks when required.
  41.  
  42. 5. After the files have been installed, type SETPATH. You will be
  43. required to type in the full path name of your WordPerfect
  44. directory eg. C:\WP51
  45.  
  46. Installation is now complete. Type CUSTOM to enter your personal
  47. details and preferences or BD to start the program.
